Privacy Policy - One4Widgets

This Privacy Policy applies to One4Widgets, a home screen widgets application developed by One4Studio. We built One4Widgets to be privacy-friendly: the app has no user accounts and almost all widget data is processed on your device. Free users can optionally choose to watch a rewarded ad to permanently unlock one Pro widget design. The app does not show automatic banner or interstitial ads.

Information One4Studio Does Not Collect

We do not ask you to sign up, create a profile, or provide your name, email, contacts, or payment details. One4Studio does not sell personal information or build a profile of your activity across apps or websites. The third-party services described below may process limited technical data when you use the features that depend on them.

Data Processed On Your Device

Widgets are rendered on your device using data you grant access to. This data stays on your device and is used only to display the widgets you add:

  • Health & activity (steps, heart rate, sleep, calories) via Android Health Connect or activity recognition — read locally to show health widgets. It is never uploaded to us.
  • Calendar — event titles and times are read locally to show agenda and next-event widgets. We do not copy or transmit your calendar.
  • Media playback — if you enable notification access, the music widget reads the current media session (title, artist, controls) on the device to show and control playback. This information is not sent anywhere.
  • Battery, storage, and device status — read locally for the relevant widgets.
  • Photos — photos you choose for photo widgets are stored and read locally on your device only.
  • Bluetooth — if you use the Bluetooth widget, nearby-device status is read locally to display it.

Location and Weather

If you grant location permission for weather widgets, your approximate coordinates are sent to our weather data provider (WeatherAPI.com) solely to retrieve the current conditions and forecast for your area. We do not store your location on our servers or associate it with your identity. You can revoke location access at any time in system settings; weather widgets will then show the last cached data.

Stocks and Currency

If you use stock or currency widgets, the symbols or currencies you configure are sent to third-party market-data providers to fetch current quotes and rates. No personal information is included in these requests.

Purchases

One4Widgets offers an optional Pro purchase. Purchases are processed entirely by Google Play Billing. We do not collect or store your payment information. Your Pro entitlement is verified directly with Google Play and cached on your device so your widgets keep working offline.

Optional Rewarded Ads

If you are not a Pro user, you can choose "Watch an ad" on a locked widget. Only after that explicit choice does the app request a rewarded ad from Google AdMob. Completing the reward permanently unlocks that widget design on the device; other Pro widgets remain locked. Ad availability, length, and whether a reward contains one or more ads are determined by Google. You can always decline and continue using the free widgets or purchase Pro instead.

Google Mobile Ads may process technical information such as your IP address, advertising or device identifiers, ad interactions, approximate region, and diagnostic data to deliver ads, prevent fraud, measure performance, and — where you consent — personalize advertising. In regions where consent is required, the Google User Messaging Platform asks for your choice before an ad request. You can revisit applicable choices from Settings → Ad privacy choices.

Backup and Theme Sharing

The app lets you export your settings to a file or share a theme as a short code. These are created only when you choose to, contain only appearance and configuration preferences (no personal data), and are saved wherever you decide. We never receive them.

Third-Party Services

One4Widgets relies on a small number of third parties to function:

  • Google Play (app distribution and in-app purchases)
  • Google AdMob and User Messaging Platform (optional rewarded ads and consent)
  • Google Firebase Crashlytics (crash and diagnostic information used for app stability)
  • WeatherAPI.com (weather data, only when weather widgets are used)
  • Market-data providers (stock and currency quotes, only when those widgets are used)

These services are governed by their own privacy policies and retention rules. Google's privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.

Permissions

The app requests permissions only for the widgets you use — for example location for weather, activity recognition or Health Connect for health, calendar for agenda, and notification access for the music widget. Every permission is optional; declining one simply disables the widgets that need it.

Data Retention and Deletion

Widget settings, cached widget data, and rewarded-widget unlocks are stored locally. Uninstalling One4Widgets removes this local data. Information processed by the third-party services above is retained and deleted under their respective policies.

Children's Privacy

One4Widgets is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date below.
